Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention and education. Part of the proceeds went towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other initiatives and gave a testimony on a Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. Morgan is on the Board of Governors of APLA as well as Amfar's Board of Directors. C. Everett Koop asked her to at times take his place in AIDS activities. And she co-hosted an AIDS Awareness Special alongside news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS during Nightline. Morgan is nominated to be an Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written specifically for Morgan. The spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began by presenting Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. The next film she was in took her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred in the psychological thriller made exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the network's history.
